Study Medicine and Dentistry in the Philippines – For Vietnamese students who want to study medicine, dentistry or nursing in the Philippines, Fly Future is preparing new education pathways and camps. In November 2026, our team visited the University of the East (UE) in Manila and AWANA Clark, an institution affiliated with UE, to see both schools first-hand, meet their teams, and prepare programs for students and families in Vietnam.

The Fly Future delegation was led by Mr. Matthew Park, Operations Director, and Ms. Minh Phuong, Program Manager.

The trip had three goals:

  • Understand UE’s health-science programs and the learning environment that Vietnamese students would join.
  • Visit AWANA Clark and discuss how we can work together on camps for Vietnamese students.
  • Meet UE’s leadership and international affairs team, including attending the university’s MOU signing ceremony with an international education partner.

UE has been educating Filipino professionals for about 80 years and counts more than a million alumni. Our campus tour focused on its health-science facilities.

At the College of Dentistry, we visited the clinic where students treat patients under faculty supervision, and the pre-clinical laboratories where they build their technical skills. The college is one of the strongest in the country: in the May 2026 Dentist Licensure Examination, UE ranked first among dental schools with a 100% passing rate. We also toured UE’s science laboratories and classrooms.

Beyond dentistry, the UE system also offers programs in medicine and nursing through the UE Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center (UERM) in Quezon City. Together, these give Vietnamese students a range of options in the health sciences, all taught in English. In 2026, AppliedHE ranked UE 5th among private universities in the Philippines and 122nd in Asia.

On 6 November 2026, Fly Future was invited to attend the ceremonial signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between UE and Asian-Pacific Transnational Education Providers, Inc. (APTEP). The ceremony was organized by UE’s Office for International Affairs and External Linkages and held at UE Caloocan. The MOU was signed by Dr. Zosimo M. Battad, President & Chief Academic Officer of UE, together with Dr. Jeong A Choi (Sarah K. Choi), Chairman, and Dr. William C. Medrano, Board Member, of APTEP, Inc.

AWANA Clark: preparing junior medical camps and summer English camps

In Clark, we visited AWANA Clark, an institution affiliated with UE. We toured its facilities and met its team to discuss how AWANA Clark could host programs for Vietnamese students, including junior medical and dental camps and summer English camps. Our discussions covered the program format and schedule, learning activities, accommodation and student care, and how camp activities can connect with visits to UE’s health-science facilities.

Upcoming programs for Vietnamese students in the Philippines

Based on the visit and discussions, Fly Future is now preparing three programs:

  • Medical, dental and nursing education pathways at UE. Guidance for Vietnamese students who want to study medicine, dentistry or nursing in the Philippines, covering program choices, admission requirements, costs and student support.
  • Junior Medical & Dental Camps. Short programs for Vietnamese high school students preparing for university, with visits to medical and dental schools, hands-on activities, and conversations with faculty and students. They give young people a real taste of a health-science career before they choose a major.
  • Summer English Camps. English-language camps in the Philippines that combine daily English classes with cultural and outdoor activities.

“This visit is a starting point, not a finish line. What we saw at UE and AWANA Clark gives us confidence to build programs that open real opportunities for Vietnamese students who dream of careers in medicine, dentistry and nursing.” — Matthew Park, Operations Director, Fly Future
